Archiving
As
the need to hold more and more information within computer systems grows, many
organisations are reviewing their data storage strategy.
Some of this information is only required occasionally and the costs of
holding it on-line are expensive. Traditional
methods have stored this information on paper or output it to microfiche.
Both of these solutions create their own problems of storage and
retrieval. The storage mechanism of
choice is now COLD (Computer Output to Laser Disc). ICS
Archiving is Causeway Systems COLD solution.
ICS
Archiving is a general purpose report archive and retrieval system.
It provides a uniform system of archiving reports from any source Files
can be archived to optical disc and stored in a jukebox on an Image Server.
The
Archive Viewer allows reports to be selected and displayed.
Facilities are provided to page through the document or to search for
specific information. Information
can be extracted into another Windows application.
