Workflow
Working in conjunction with the Document Management system Workflow can automatically route documents to users through a set of user definable rules.
In addition Workflow can be applied to selected business procedures. It allows users to be directed through defined processes to ensure complete and accurate adherence to these procedures. Processes are defined through a graphical tool. They can be triggered automatically when a document of a relevant category is selected from the user’s in-tray. Different versions of workflow can be provided to suit expert and less experienced staff.
Within a Workflow information can be retrieved and displayed from a number of different sources including the document management system and core application systems.
Workflow can be used for example to ensure compliance with an organisation's complaints procedure.
